EPILOGUE

..…having narrated the hieroglyphics throughout most of the night, the attractive female in khakis and safari hat can interpret no more.
     The etched writings have disappeared into the depths of the earth where she kneels.
     Inspired by reading of the women’s determination depicted by the hieroglyphs branded in stone, she vows to return.
    As the wind picks up, the silicone crystals begin to twirl. The woman stands tall, turns to the early-rising sun and removes her hat. With her long brown hair blowing in the morning breeze, she states defiantly, “I must know the ending to this story of love and tragedy carved in stone ages ago. In the days to come, I alone, will unearth this monument from “The Shifting Sands…”
